Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Twin glacier from Lake — 8—28—66" in handwriting. The image shows a wide expanse of blue water stretching across the foreground, leading to a far shore. The water's edge on the far shore is occupied by a line of desiduous trees, obscuring part of the background from left to roughly the center. In the center, the Twin Sawyer Glaciers are visible, or at least one of them, cutting throught the mountains and weaving into the background out of sight. On either side, dark rocky rounded peaks rise into the sky. The sky is a heavy leaden gray. A small iceberg floats on the lake near the shore at left. The number "19" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
