Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Twin Glacier Taku River — 8—28—66" in handwriting. The image shows a wide expanse of blue water stretching across the foreground, leading to a far layered shore. The water's edge on the far shore is occupied by a line of desiduous trees, thought it is unclear if they are behind a beach, or how wide that beach may be, at this image is from much farther away. In the center behind the trees, the Twin Sawyer Glaciers are visible, or at least one of them, cutting throught the mountains and weaving into the background out of sight. On either side, dark rocky rounded peaks rise into the sky. There are tiny patches of snowcap on the mountain at right. The sky is a heavy leaden gray. The number "17" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
