A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 '59 Parade" in handwriting. The image shows a semi—aerial view of the upper portion of Fourth Street, looking southwest. The Juneau Memorial Library stands at left, and the legislative office building at the center. The sidewalks at right and in the background are thick with spectators. The Model Airplane Club float is traveling toward the camera in the foreground, and in the background, the Pan Am promotional float. Between them is an unknown float, oblong in shape and seemingly covered in pink transluscent plasticene. The number "17" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
