A is album page. B is card with binding string tied through hole in upper proper right corner, attaching it to album in between pages 2005.41.023 & 2005.41.024. C—E are affixed to front of page, F—G are affixed to back of page.

A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Christmas card, 5" x 4", card stock with mottled green—grey and off—white exterior, off—white interior. Card is folded horizontally. Image of Chapel by the Lake with several people by door and trees in background printed in dark blue ink on front of card, with thin blue border, and horizontal blue line at top and bottom of cover. Handwritten in lighter blue ink: "Merry Christmas / and a very happy new year. / Frohliche Weinachten". Printed in blue ink inside card are lyrics to "The Chapel By the Lake" by Carol Beery Davis. Handwritten on back: "Dear Mr & Mrs Dryden, A merry Christmas from some one who always likes to think of you. Always your friend's [sic] Rosa, Frank, Rosie & Arnold Maier". Off—white adhesive reinforcement affixed around hole in upper proper right corner of back of card.

C — Color photo, 6" x 3", of the Chapel by the Lake. Front and proper left sides are visible, with front door near proper right edge of photo and large windows on side wall facing toward proper left edge. At proper right edge next to chapel is a white open—walled building with what appears to be a red car inside. Dirt parking lot in foreground partially visible along bottom edge of photo. Trees in background behind chapel; sky is blue with mottled clouds.

D — Pamphlet, "Chapel—by—the—Lake / Auke Bay Alaska / Rev. Kenneth W. Smith, Pastor". Pamphlet contains drawings of chapel and text describing its history, as well as same lyrics by Carol Beery Davis as in 2005.41.024B. Printed in brown ink on cream paper.

E — Black and white photo, Saint Nicholas church. View of church looking uphill, with picket fence across bottom of photo and Mount Juneau in background. Printed in black on white bar across bottom: "11844. Russian Greek Church at Juneau, Alaska. Published by W. H. Case, Juneau, Alaska." Handwritten to proper right: "Went to Christmas service Jan. 7 1937 at this quaint little church. Also attended easter service. All the whole congregation stand — men to right, women to left. No musical instrument is used but they have very fine singing in Russian."

F — Black and white photo on white textured paper, portrait of Reverend A.P. Kashavaroff. Subject at table facing camera, visible from midline up, with arms resting on table top. Bald with wire—rimmed glasses, dressed in priest's vestments, with numerous papers and objects on table in front and to proper left of him. Printed in black at bottom of photo: "Rev. A.P. Kashavaroff / Curator Alaska Territorial Museum / (c) 34 Ordway." Handwritten below: "The priest wore very elaborate robes, their religion is something like the Catholic service."
