A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" greyish manilla paper.

B — Laminated newspaper clipping, 8" x 6.5", black and white aerial photograph of Juneau & Douglas taken from above Douglas, south of town. Caption printed below photo reads: "JUNEAU AND DOUGLAS nestled beneath the mountains bordering Gastineau Channel. This protected waterway provides year—round ice free access to the trade routes of the world. Juneau in background, Capital of the new state, hugs majestic Mt. Juneau which rises to a height of 3,600 feet. Across the channel lies Douglas where the once famous Treadwell Mines were located. Disasterous [sic] cave—in in 1917 closed the mines forever." Handwritten in blue ink at end of caption: "10—8—56".
