Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Stickine[sic] Air Service plane stopping us — 7—6—69 up Stickine[sic] River" in handwriting. The image shows a swath of gray river water, across which there is a far shore thick with trees along its criss—crossing hills. In the center of the water, there is a float plane with its nose pointed toward the image's right. The plane's feet are dividing the water and creating wake, as if it is taxiing. The text "JUL69" is etched into the frame at the upper edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
