Notes:
New Perseverance Mill Site022C
This site is on Gastineau Channel south of Juneau and the area became known as Thane, named after general manager Bart Thane of the Alaska Gastineau Mining Company. The company constructed an 8000 ton tube/pebble mill to crush the ore from the Perseverance. The mill ran from 1915 and closed in 1921 when it no longer proved profitable. The ruins are still visible on the hillside south of town.
