Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) traveling on the water. Text on the side of the plane identifies it as a part of the Alaska—Southern Airways fleet. Text on the side of the tail identifies the aircraft as the Chichagof. Buildings on the side of a tree covered mountain and docks seen in background.
Verso has a stamped number "31" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink. Handwritten in pencil is the text "Cot —2".

Located in photo album (2013.08.011A). Attached to album page by corner tabs. White text on album page below photograph reads: "The Chichagof ".

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
