Description:
Photograph found in the Baranoff Hotel Album (2013.14.001)

Black and white photograph of numerous individuals gathered inside the Baranof Hotel watching a ceremony of some sort involving persons from a native tribe and a man wearing a black suit and white shirt. The man in the black suit is holding a conical party hat in his right hand. Only the profile of his face is seen, he is standing facing the man across from him. In his left hand, he is receiving a small totem. Standing on the proper left, is a man dressed in native garb and minimal headdress. He appears to be holding a feather (?) in his left hand, extended out touching the man's head standing across from him. Behind the man in native garb is another man, he is wearing glasses. His body is entirely blocked by the man next to him. Partial view of three windows is seen in the background of the photo. A white border surrounds the photograph. Printed in the bottom right corner of the border is "Roger Dudley \ SEATTLE"

On the reverse, handwritten in pencil is the numbre "47"
