Color photo shows three men using rope to pull a white wooden cross (potentially the church's steeple) from the roof. The entire bodies of two men can be seen in the photo. Both of these men are wearing dark jeans and brown jackets. Only the arms of the third man can be seen. All three men can be seen on the proper right of the photograph. The church is white in color with mint green trim around the windows and sides. A green house can be seen behind the church. Several additional buildings as well as powerlines can be seen in the background.
The reverse is labeled in black ink "Russia Church Cross / Burt Bertholl."
