Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "Sorority Float 7—4—59" in handwriting. The image shows a semi—aerial view of an unknown street in Juneau, with a long hedge at left. A singular float travels along the street, seemingly toward the right. The lower portion is black, with the lateral text "Toast to Alaska." There is a sculptural representation of a champagne bottle on the top, being "poured" into a glass near the front. A woman sits in the glass, surrounded by balloons representing bubbles. Two other women sit on the float, one at the right side and the other at the rear. The number "13" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
