Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 '59 — Shows Governors[sic] Mansion" in handwriting. The image shows a semi—aerial view of the upper portion of Fourth Street, south of where it forks. The shot is wide, capturing the houses on the left side of the street, including the Governor's Mansion in the background. At right, there are trees and the lower slopes of Mount Juneau. Several floats are traveling along the street northward, the one closest to the camera obscured by a large Unuted States flag flying from its rear. The number "14" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left. Also bears the printed numerals "00052544" in black ink on the right edge, possibly a serial or developer's number.
