Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1956" in handwriting. The image shows a front view of an unknown street in Juneau during the parade. There are buildings lining both sides of the street, and a perpendicular one far in the background. Spectators line both sides of the street. A float is traveling down the street away from the camera, being pulled by a black and white station wagon. The float has lateral text reading "Poop Deck," and has indiscernably dressed people atop it holding what appears to be a weather vane. People in the crowd have shifted, standing directly in the foreground. The number "5" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
