Water fills lower third of photo, shoreline crosses horizontally (angling downward as it moves to proper left) with mountains filling most of background and sky visible above that, mainly in upper proper right quadrant and along top. Center of downtown located on proper right side of shoreline with snow—capped Mountain. Juneau behind. Printed in white in lower proper right corner: "35013B Juneau Alaska (c) 34 Ordway". Handwritten captions above and below photo read: "A view of Juneau taken from Mount Jumbo above the little village of Douglas across the channel from Juneau." The building to right is the gold quartz mine. Mount Juneau in background is capped with snow. This picture gives a view of the docks along the water front where boats dock.

C — Black and white photo of steamship docked at shore. Grassy ground with leafy bushes in lower third of photo; wooden post supported by three smaller leaning beams rests on ground at proper right edge of photo. Water across central third of photo, with some islands on far side, hazy mountains beyond, and sky in upper third of image. Ship is facing toward proper left with front closer to photographer than back; dock extends from proper right shore out into the water. Printed in white across bottom of photo: "S.S. Alaska at Sitka, Alaska. The Photo Shop Studio." Handwritten caption below photo reads: "Returning to U.S. in 1936. Wonderful trip weather was ideal all the way."

D — Black and white photo, aerial view of downtown taken from around Mount Juneau. Trees and hillside in bottom foreground, with downtown beyond and channel visible along top of photo. Four locations are marked with circles or "x"s in blue ink. Caption below photo reads: "This view is looking down Gold Creek. [Dark spot] is the Governor's home. [Circle] Government hospital. X is Femmer dock. XX is ball diamond."
