A is album page. B—C are photos affixed to front of page, D—F are photos affixed to back of page. All photos approximately 3.5" x 5.5" with white border unless otherwise noted.

A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Black and white photo of light—colored dog sitting outside on the ground with body facing forward toward proper right and head turned back away from photographer. Ground is mostly dirt with some grass and rocks; several bent tree trunks are growing out of ground between dog and proper right edge of photo. Dog is seated some distance from photographer, and is located in upper half of photo. Large rock(?) in lower proper left foreground.

C — Black and white photo of same light—colored dog, now lying down with hindquarters nearest photographer and head erect and turned over body toward camera. Terrain is same as in B, with a stone wall running along background; three tree trunks are growing out of ground slightly behind and to proper left of dog. Handwritten caption below these two photos reads: "Taken May 30 — 1939 of "Wolf" the lead dog of Mary Joyce's team. This one was at Sun Valley Idaho all winter when she had her team there. He is a beautiful light grayish color and very tame even small children would go up to him and put their arms around his neck. Some of her team are not so tame for have seen them all."

D — Black and white photo of steamship, 5" x 3" w/ith no border. Ship is dark—colored and located near center of photo with water filling lower half of photo and snow—capped mountains in background. Some buildings visible along shoreline. Caption to proper left of photo reads: "June 3 — 1934 we left Juneau for Idaho on this boat. Had a very pleasant trip."

E — Black and white photo, 5" x 3" with no border, of steamship with cloud of smoke emerging from central smokestack. Ship is located near center of photo and facing toward proper right, leaving wake between back of ship and proper left edge. Water fills lower half of photo with mountains in back; one large dark mountain with peak near upper proper left corner takes up most of background with smaller, fainter mountain beyond on proper right side. Caption to proper right of photo reads: "Aug 27 — 37 — we returned to Juneau on this boat. Had such a nice state room."

F — Black and white photo, 5" x 3" with no border, of steamship. Ship is located near center of photo and stretches almost from proper right edge to proper left edge, facing proper right with wake slightly visible behind. Water fills lower third of photo with mountains filling up most of the remainder of background. Large light—colored structure on pilings on mountainside at proper right edge with a few more buildings and dock visible at shoreline between front of ship and proper right edge of photo; patchy snow at peaks of mountains. Printed in black in lower proper right quadrant of photo: "S.S. Aleutain Near Juneau Alaska. (c)34 Ordway 35996". Handwritten caption to proper left of photo reads: "Aug — 28 — 1937 we returned to Juneau on this boat."
