Photograph of the sinking of the Princess Kathleen.
Black and white horizontal photograph of a sinking ship. The boat's hull cuts across the middle ground of the photograph. The stern has already begun to sink below the water's surface. Shoreline is seen in the foreground and along the proper left edge leading towards the ship. There are five life boats near the ship and one along the shore line closer to the view. A group of people are standing on the shoreline near the ship. Mountains in the background.
Notes:
The Princess Kathleen ran aground and sank at Lena Point in Lynn Canal, Alaska on September 7, 1952.
