Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "7/4/56" in handwriting. The image shows an unknown street in Juneau during the parade, on which the Juneau Yacht Club float is traveling, so identified by lateral text. Text on the rear of the float reads "Poop Deck." The float is naught more than a truck bed being pulled by a black and white station wagon, with two men atop it dressed in naval uniforms. The crowd is thin on the far side of the street. The number "11" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
