A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1956" in handwriting. The image shows an unknown street in Juneau during the parade, on which a float draped in textile of blue and white is traveling. A banner on the right side has text which reads "Golden North Salmon Derby." There are three women dressed as mermaids sitting atop the float. Buildings and spectators are visible on the far side of the street. The number "12" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
