Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) tied up on a sandy shoreline. Text on the side of the plane identifies it as one of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. Aircraft's nose is facing the proper right edge of the photograph. The plane's tail extends over the shoreline. One man is standing at the water's edge (in the water) next to the plane. He appears to be holding the rope tied to the plane. Another man is climbing into the plane's cabin. Tree covered mountains in the background. A wooden building raised on piers is along the proper left edge.
