Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) tied up on a grassy shoreline. Text on the side of the plane identifies it as one of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. Aircraft's nose is facing the proper left edge of the photograph. The plane's tail extends over the shoreline. A man is standing or sitting on top of the plane. His torso and head extend above the line made by the aircraft's wings. Snow capped mountains, a glacier and a waterway in background. .
Verso has a stamped number "27" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
