A is album page. Handwritten "1937" on small rectangle of yellow paper glued to upper proper left corner of page. B—C are affixed to front of page, D—E are affixed to back of page. All photos approximately 3.5" x 5.5" with white border unless otherwise noted.

A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Black and white photograph, no border, 5.25" x 3", Mount Juneau with snow on top and downtown Juneau at bottom of photo. Old Federal courthouse at proper left edge; also in lower proper left corner are the old high school and the apartment building over Willoughby (photo is cut off directly below this building).

C — Image, "Alaska—Juneau Gold Mining Co.'s Mill, Juneau, Alaska," hand—tinted view of AJ mill taken from over the channel south of the mill. Mill is located just to proper left of center, with other white & blue buildings clustered along shoreline below, interspersed with yellow docks. Numerous boats gathered in lower proper left corner. Southern end of downtown just visible at proper right edge; Mount Juneau in background; water in lower proper right corner.

D — Image, "Taku Glacier, near Juneau, Alaska." Hand—tinted view of Taku Glacier; water with scattered icebergs fills lower half of photo. Mountains tinted green/red/yellow/blue in background beyond glacier; foot of a mountain just visible in front of glacier at proper left edge. Sky is pale blue with whitish—peach clouds. Handwritten caption below photo reads: "Rev. Woods and daughter took us to this Glacier one Sunday in Sept. ["15th" added above year] (1935) on their boat "Messenger." We saw this mass of ice with the same beautiful coloring of blues as other glacier. Hundred [sic] and hundreds of hair seal were in the waters by this glacier. The day was not a very good one as it rained most of time. It took three hours or over to go. On our way back we saw whale blowing out in the distance.

E — Hand—tinted image of The Nugget Shop on textured paper. Front and proper left side of building are visible with numerous multicolored totem poles in front and to side, in lower proper left quadrant. Clock on sidewalk in front of store in lower proper right quadrant; neighboring storefronts in lower proper right corner. Snow—covered mountains with some trees in background. Printed on side of Nugget Shop: "Alaska Furs / Totems / Eskimo Ivory Carvings And Garments / Nugget Jewelry / Paintings And Antiques". Another sign at corner of building: "Curios / Visitors Welcome".
