A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Image, "B.M. Behrends Bank and Post Office, Juneau, Alaska." Hand—tinted view of white building with columns & American flag on top; front and proper left side of building are visible, as well as neighboring buildings along street. One person standing in front of building and several more grouped on proper left side. Sky is pale blue with white clouds; street in foreground is beige. Handwritten caption below reads: "Across street from this bank is a large store owned by same man. Here is where all school warrants had to be cashed. They are glad to hand out the cash without 'quibbling.'"

C — Image, "Waterfront on a Busy Day, Juneau, Alaska." Hand—tinted view of ship docks and foot of Mount Roberts taken from the north, over channel. Several ships are docked along shore, facing toward proper right of photo, with waterfront buildings and part of a boat visible at proper right. Cloud of white smoke rises and hovers near center of image, with AJ mill partially visible behind. Sky in upper proper left quadrant is pale blue fading to pale lemon near horizon. Trees on Mount Roberts are colored green; water in bottom 1/3 of photo is blue. Handwritten below: "Along the dock where all boats anchor. The A.J. (Alaska Juneau Mine), the Northland Transportation, the Cold Storage dock, and Alaska Steamship dock."

D — Image, "Governor's Mansion, Juneau, Alaska." Hand—tinted view of front and proper left of Governor's Mansion with white picket fence around yard. Calhoun visible in lower proper left corner; other houses can be seen to either side. Douglas mountains in background.

E — Image, "Municipal Building (Foreground) and U.S. Court House, Juneau, Alaska." Hand—tinted, municipal building in lower proper right quadrant partially obscuring courthouse, which is slightly above and to proper left. Other houses around; green grass in lower proper left corner. Municipal building is labeled with "1" and three different "2"s in different locations. Handwritten below photo: "The building in back is the jail. 1. is fire station 2. is public library."
