Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) pulled up along side a beach—like coastline. The aircraft has a boat—like pontoon base with a double engine above with two four—blade propellers. There are at least four men on the plane. There are at least ten additional men on the shoreline. The shore has a section of sand which ends into a grassy section of land.
Verso has the number "56 — " has written in pencil at approximately center. The photograph is of Russians from the Black Sea in Nome.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
