Two fire trucks in the background. Four men standing in front of the trucks. From proper right to proper left: First man (Deputy Major Jamie Parsons) has a dark suit jacket, white shirt, and tie, with light colored slacks. He has a ring on his third finger of his right hand and is staring down at papers in his hand as if reading the words from them aloud. The second man (Larry Carleson) has a white shirt and pants, dark leather jacket and tinted glasses. He has his hands clasped in front of his torso. The third man (Michael Morgan) has longer dark hair and a beard. He has a striped collared shirt and jacket that has a logo on the left chest. He has his hands in the pockets of the jacket. The last man (Alan Judson) is turned sideways from the camera and is wearing a a white short sleeve collared shirt with a Juneau Fire Department patch on the left shoulder. He has a radio attached to his belt on the left side. His hands are clasped behind his back and he is looking at the first man.
There is a typed caption that was attached to the bottom of the photo. It reads: "Deputy Mayor Jamie Parsons presents the City and Borough of Juneau's Award for Bravery to Larry Carleson, second from left, and Michael Morgan, for saving the lives of three children and an adult from the Sorby Apartment fire on November 7, 1983. Coordinating Fire Chief Alan Judson, right, participated in the ceremony."
