Men are in three rows for a posed photograph. The back two rows are standing and the front row is sitting. They are in a half circle formation. In the front there is a sandwich board that says Juneau Volunteer Fire Dept. (small in black) Fire Drill (large in white). The sign is red. They appear to be in a garage. There are two big roll up doors in the middle and on the proper left. On the proper right back there is a door with an lighted Exit sign above it. There are twelve (12) men in the front sitting row. Twelve men in the second standing row. Nine men in the back standing row. Several of the men are holding cups. A man in the middle row to the proper right of the sandwich board is holding a cup and smoking a cigarettte.
The typed caption taped to the bottom of the photograph reads:
