Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Wrangell Narrows 5—22—53" in handwriting. The image shows a wide, long dirt beach leading down to a calm shoreline. The beach runs into the background to a thick line of tall trees. In the distant background is a sparsely snowcapped rounded peak. Toward the middle of the image, near the water, there is what appears to be a wooden piling, painting white on the top two—thirds of it. The number "4" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
