Description:
Black and white photograph of four men around a float plane (sea plane). The aircraft's tail extends over the wooden dock to which it is tied. There are two men on a wooden dock . One is fully visible and is standing near the tail of the plane. He is wearing rubber boots. The other man is closer to the photographer and only part of his torso is visible along the proper left edge of the photograph. The third man is standing on the back end of the aircraft's left pontoon. He is walking toward the wooden dock. The fourth man is stepping out of the plane's cabin. Text on the side of the plane identifies it as part of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. There is a snow capped mountain in the background.
Verso has a stamped number "17" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
The photograph is taken in Juneau, Alaska after a trip to Lake Hasselberg in 1931.
