Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1951" in handwriting. The image shows the parade route along an unnamed street, with businesses and storefronts lining the left side and the corner in the background. Two floats are traveling along the street, the one in the foreground bearing some faux greenery and shamrocks applied to the sides, with a group of women standing atop it. The float in the background is circular and blue, seemingly to replicate the shape of a ball gown. A sign in the background designates one store as the 20th Century Super Market. The number "13" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
