Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4th 1951" in handwriting. The image shows the parade route along an unnamed street, with low rise buildings lining the right of the street and the perpendicular corner. One parade float is central to the image, with front text reading "Alaska Art" and decorated with greenery and floral trim. Several children and a woman dressed as a fairy ride atop it. People are milling about the street, mostly women and children, in front of and to the left of the float. Power lines line the right side of the road. The number "12" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
