Description:
Black and white photograph of two children, one girl and one boy, on a wooden dock. The boy is on the proper left of the dock and the girl is on the proper right. He is looking at the camera while the girl is looking at the boy with her back to the camera. She is wearing a hat and dark coat. Two additional people (children) are silhouetted in the background. A boat is docked in the background to the proper right.

On back, handwritten in black ink is text reading: "Did I see this? \ This is the city float \ about half way to Thane \ the Oil dock on the Thane \ road — it is no longer in \ use The Alaska Juneau \ tailings filled in all around \ it making it impossible \ for boats to use it \ and the city had to \ build a new one \ this side of the rock dump."
Notes:
The photograph belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
