Description:
Black and white photograph of an airplane tied up at a wooden dock for a float plane (sea plane). The aircraft has wheels directly below the cabin as well as pontoon like structures around the wheels and at the end of each wing. The cockpit appears to be covered with a fabric cover. The photograph views the plane from the front. The plane has a two—bladed propeller and a double—wing configuration (bi—plane). Equipment and wood scatter the dock in the foreground. There is a section of a boat's hull visible along the proper left edge of the photograph. Water in background.

Photograph is of a converted "Jenny". The Curtiss JN—4 "Jenny" was a biplane built by the Curtiss Aeroplane Company of Hammondsport, New York, later the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company. They were originally used by the military and one that in its original state is not a float or sea plane. The Jenny in the photograph was converted into a sea plane with the addition of the pontoons around the wheels.

Verso has a stamped number "A63" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
