Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) pulled up along a shoreline. Text on the side of the aircraft identifies it as a part of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. There is a man standing on the back end of the plane's left pontoon at the point between the plane's cabin and tail. The shoreline is sandy and grassy. There is equipment, row boats or other structures further up on the bank (along the proper left edge of the photograph). The land near which the plane is docked extends on in to a tree covered mountain or hill. Water, snow covered mountains and a glacier in the background.

Photograph was taken at the Taku River Camp. The glacier in the background is the Taku Glacier. Verso has a stamped number "A63" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
