Description:
Black and white photograph of a bi—plane airplane docked in a harbor (a kind of float plane or sea plane). Text on the plane's tail reads: "359W". The aircraft has wheels as well as pontoon like structures around the wheels. The cockpit appears to be covered with a fabric cover. There is a boat docked behind the plane. The shoreline, harbor, and telephone lines in the background. Water in the foreground.

Photograph is of a converted "Jenny". The Curtiss JN—4 "Jenny" was a biplane built by the Curtiss Aeroplane Company of Hammondsport, New York, later the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company. They were originally used by the military and one that in its original state is not a float or sea plane. The Jenny in the photograph was converted into a sea plane with the addition of the pontoons around the wheels.
