Description:
Black and white photograph of three men standing in front of the tail of a float plane (sea plane) which is tied up at a wooden dock. The tail of the aircraft extends over the dock into a hanger. Text on the side of the aircraft identifies it as part of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. The man on the proper right has his hands in his pants pockets, is wearing a button up cardigan and a neck tie. The man in the middle has his hands in his pants pockets and is wearing a neck tie and argyle socks. The man on the proper left has his hands hanging down at this side and is wearing a jacket. All three men are looking at the camera.
Verso has a stamped number "2" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
The men are the plane's mechanic, pilot and helper and the photograph was taken in 1931.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
