Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "Model Aeroplane[sic] Club Float 7—4—59" in handwriting. The image shows an unknown street in Juneau, with a low brown structure with a peaked roof on the far side of the street, and mountains in the background at right. Power lines cut through the top of the image at left. A float is traveling along the street toward the left, a flatbed pulled by a green open topped car. The lower portion is striped in blue, white, and red, and the topside has a large model representation of a silver rocket, pointing upward and to the rear. Toward the front, there is a checkered representation of an airplane tailwing. People stand upon a raised green area at the middle and near the rocket at the rear. The number "2" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
