Color photograph of the 4th of July parade 1998.
Fire truck 12 takes up most of the photo. The view is of its passenger side. It is going down Egan toward the proper left, toward Thane. The fire truck is blocking the sight of the future downtown transit center. The Sealaska Building is on the proper left. There are spectators in front of it. The mountains are visible in the background. There is one man sitting on the top back of the truck. He has a red shirt and yellow helmet on. A woman is sitting in the middle on the top of the truck. Another man with a captains hat, jean shorts, and red shirt has his hand in a box and is standing on the top in the middle of the truck. A woman is below him walking on the street with her hand also in a box. They are throwing the salt water taffy to spectators.
"4th July 1998" is written on the piece of paper the photo was taped to.
