Black and white photograph of an aircraft in the water next to shore. The wheels or pontoons of the plane and the tail are submerged in the water. The nose is angled toward the air. Partially visible text on the right wing reads: "NC 45". There is a man in a suit standing on the shore next to the airplane's right wing. He is wearing a suit and a hat. He also has a pipe in his mouth. Water and tree lined coast in background.
Verso has a number "2" stamped upside down in black ink located in the upper proper left corner.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
