Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Juneau — 3/7/65" in handwriting. The image shows a semi—aerial view of downtown Juneau from across the Gastineau Channel on Douglas Island. In the background, Mount Roberts looms overhead in heavy snowcap, dwarfing the sprawl of downtown below it. The completed Federal Building is visible at center—left on the far shore. The Channel occupies the foreground, along with a cut off section of a tree at left. The number "18" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
