A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "'Little Canyon' up Stickine[sic] River — 7—6—69" in handwriting. The image shows a downriver view along the Stikine, with thickly wooded banks on either side of the water. The river stretches far into the background, where there is a third shore with a rounded peak. In the foreground, the prow section of a boat is visible, with the wheelhouse structure at right, and portside railings at left. The image was captured from the deck of this boat. The text "JUL69" is etched into the frame at the upper edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
