Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Great Glacier up Stickine[sic] River — 7—4—69" in handwriting. The image shows a lateral view of the Great Glacier lying on a far shore of the Stikine. The glacier sits in a wide valley between twin rounded mountains on either side. The glacier's surface is flat and barely visible above the long tree line stretching across the water's edge. Behind the glacier is another rounded snowcapped peak. The text "JUL69" is etched into the frame at the upper edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
