Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Boats Chatham July 3, 54" in handwriting. The image shows a row of boats moored slightly away from the shoreline at Chatham, with the dock off to their port sides in the background. The dock holds a low gray building. Across the water, there is a far shore with a low mountain slope ascending toward the left. The shoreline on the near shore is rocky at right. The number "17" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left. Another number, "236102" is also printed on the lower edge, possibly a series or development number.
