Place:
Southeast, Alaska
Date:
July 3, 1954

Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Big House, Chatham July 3, '54" in handwriting. The image shows a number of houses built into the mountainside at Chatham. It is unclear which is the eponymous house, since none of them is especially big. There is a thick line of desiduous trees in the background. The number "16" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left. Another number, "236102" is also printed on the lower edge, possibly a series or development number.
