Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Elks Float July 4th 1955" in handwriting. The image shows the BPOE float from the 2013.41.165 slide, but only the front two sections——the flat bed with large baseball and young men in uniforms, and the faux clock face with Roman numerals. It is traveling down a residential street, houses are visible on the far side, and mountains in the distant background. The text on the side of the float reads "Brotherly Love, Fidelity". The float's colors are mauve and white. The number "10" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
