Description:
Black and White Photograph in horizontal view of a waterfront with buildings and wharves. The wharf in mid photo appears to have a large gap in the middle. Snow or ice covers the water and roofs. The background is a steep slope covered in trees and snow. A wood abutment is in lower photo proper right. Several buildings on pilings extend far out into the water. A two masted boat is in mid photo. The photo is mounted on a matte.

On reverse side handwritten in black ink: "Wrangel Alaska Dec 3rd 1902 This is to certify that I Fred Carlyon a photographer of Wrangel Alaska did take the photo on opposite side of this card on December 3rd 1902 and that it is a True picture of the McKinnon Wharf property Owned by J.
