Black and white horizontal photo of Princess Kathleen, bow on rocks, tilted to port side, on proper left of photo. On proper right, middle range, two men wearing hats and jackets facing ship, standing on grassy and rocky ground. Mountains can be seen in distance from above middle over about two—thirds into proper left then has tree line. Expanse of water between shore line rocks and grass to mountains and treeline. At bottom written across negative "7. PR. KATHLEEN. PT LENA, ALASKA. 9—7—52". Lower proper left corner, "T. DAVIS, JUNEAU" is written. On back, top of photo September date runs off page. In lower proper right, number "18" has been stamped.

Princess Kathleen ran aground on Sept. 7, 1952 at Lena Point, 17 miles north of Juneau
