Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Winning Float July 4th 1950" in handwriting. The image shows a parade float, with the text "Beta Sigma Phi" on the front and the corresponding Greek characters on the side. It is principally blue, with colorful nautical details, including a leaping swordfish. Two women dressed as mermaids and a man possibly dressed as Poseidon are on top of the float. Houses lie in the background. The number "10" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
