Set of eleven (11) sample postcards from box (2014.11.034 A—B) used at Paul Bloedhorn's jewelry shop. These eleven postcards feature photographs from Juneau.

A: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a landscape image of Lynn Canal. In the lower proper right corner there is an illustration of a scroll with the text "LYNN CANAL \ ALASKA". In the upper proper right corner there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". On the line for the number is "PSA6" handwritten in black ink. One the back is black typed text reading: "SCENIC PHOTO PUBLISHING CO. SEATTLE WASH \ POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There are two black horizontal lines between the "POST CARD" and "CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS".

B: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of the Alaska—Juneau Mine (AJ Mine) on the side of Mount Roberts. Downtown Juneau and Mount Juneau are in the background but obscured by fog or smoke from the mine. Gastineau Channel in foreground. In the lower proper right corner is text reading: "Mining at Juneau, Alaska". In the upper proper right corner there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". On the line for the number is "A77" handwritten in black ink. One the back is black typed text reading: "SCENIC PHOTO PUBLISHING CO. SEATTLE WASH \ POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There are two black horizontal lines between the "POST CARD" and "CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There is a handwritten number "77" in the lower proper left corner in pencil.

C: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of the Alaska—Juneau Mine (AJ Mine) on the side of Mount Roberts. Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts are visible. The Alaska—Juneau (AJ) mine is seen on the side of Mount Roberts. In the lower proper right corner is an illustration of a scroll with text reading: "JUNEAU CAPITOL \ CITY OF ALASKA". Just below center there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". On the line for the number is "PCA9" handwritten in black ink. One the back is black typed text reading: "SCENIC PHOTO PUBLISHING CO. SEATTLE WASH \ POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". E: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of downtown Juneau, circa 1925, from Mount Roberts looking towards Mount Juneau. Franklin, Seward and Main Streets are all visible, as is the original courthouse on Telephone Hill and the Governor's Mansion. The Willoughby District is not yet filled with land. In the lower proper right corner is an illustration of a scroll with text reading: "CAPITOL CITY JUNEAU\ ALASKA". In the upper proper right corner there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". F: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of downtown Juneau, after 1935, looking towards North Douglas. The original courthouse on Telephone Hill is clearly seen as is the bridge to Douglas (built in 1935). In the lower proper left corner in white is the text "JUNEAU ALASKA W.P.CO." The "W.P.Co." stands for Winter and Pond Company. One the back is black typed text reading: "POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS" In the upper proper right corner is a box made up of squares and the letters "AZO" and containing the text "PLACE STAMP HERE". At approximately center is handwritten text in black ink reading "Bloedhorn \ 2 doz".

G: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of cityscape. Downtown Juneau is in the background with Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts. The Alaska—Juneau Mine is visible on the side of Mount Roberts. The Gastineau Channel is in the middle ground. The City of Douglas is in the foreground. In the lower proper right corner is an illustration of a scroll with text reading: "CITIES OF JUNEAU & DOUGLAS \ ALASKA". In the upper proper right corner there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". At center along the lower edge there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE".
