A: Color horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of the Mendenhall Glacier looking across Auk Lake. There is a dirt road and trees in the foreground, Auk Lake in the middleground and the glacier with surrounding mountains in background. In the upper proper left corner there is black typed text reading: "C101. Mendenhall Glacier and Auk Lake, \ near Juneau, Alaska". Verso has text in the upper proper left corner reading: "MENDENHALL GLACIER \ it is situated about 15 miles north of Juneau \ on a beautiful boulevard built and maintained \ by the U.S. Bureau of Roads. From the \ Glacier the highway continues and crosses the \ Mendenhall River and around the "Loop" afford— \ ing a view of beautiful Auk Lake. \ THIS SPACE FOR MESSAGE". Text in the upper proper right corner reads: "POST CARD \ STAMP\ ADDRESS". The word "STAMP" is surrounded by a box. Text along the lower edge at approximately center reads: "MADE IN \ U.S.A.". A vertical arrow extended from this lower text and points to an illustration of a stylized person. The arrow has the initials "H H T CO". To the proper right of the arrow is handwritten text in black ink reading: "Bloedhorn \ 2 doz."

B: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of The Mendenhall Glacier looking across Auke Lake. There is a dirt road and trees in the foreground, Auk Lake in the middleground and the glacier with surrounding mountains in background. The glacier and mountains are washed out, while trees in the foreground and middleground are extremely dark. Text in the lower proper right corner reads "Auk Lake and \ Mendenhall Glacier — Alaska". At center there is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". On the line for the number is "A142" handwritten in black ink. One the back is black typed text reading: "SCENIC PHOTO PUBLISHING CO. SEATTLE WASH \ POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There are two black horizontal lines between the "POST CARD" and "CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS".

C: Black and white horizontal postcard. Front has a photograph of a landscape with a glacier in the background. It looks like there are tidal flats in the foreground and a group of seven (7) figures just right of center. In the upper proper right corner there is black text reading: "Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau Alaska". At approximately center is purple text stamped on to the card which reads: "SAMPLE \ PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER \ THIS IS NO. _______ \ Scenic Photo Publishing Co. \ 614 1st Ave. SEATTLE". On the line for the number is "A68" handwritten in black ink. There is a handwritten number "68" in the lower proper left corner in pencil. The image is mislabeled and is not the Mendenhall Glacier.
