Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "Juneau — Slide — 62" in handwriting. The image shows an exterior at the base of a hillside, with a group of houses occupying the foreground and middling area. The house at center—right is a two—story with overlapping siding of white and beige, with a green roof. The house at rear left is a green split level, and the house at front left seems to be a white ranch style, but only its extreme right is visible. Above the houses, the slope of a snowcapped mountain extends upward, showing no discernable signs of avalanche. Power lines cut through the center of the image. The number "18" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left. Also bears the printed text "JUL 62P" on the bottom edge, perhaps indicating when the slide was developed.
