Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency" and front logo for Perfect Photo, Inc.). The frame is labeled "ice—Bergs n. Marble[?] Is. Glacier Bay 8—19—68" in handwriting. The image shows a wide swath of gray ocean water occupying the entirety of the foreground and the middling area. At the left side of the middling area, there is a land formation with a short pointed peak, under which part of the land trails off to the right. There are other far distant, barely visible shores lying in the background. Near the right of the image in the middling area, a long iceberg with a flat surface floats on the water. Another smaller one floats near the water's edge of the island at left. In the foreground at right, there is wake created by a boat, suggesting that the image was captured from the stern of a moving vessel. The number "7" is printed in ink on the frame at the lower right, and the text "AUG68" is etched on the lower edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
